Quarter 4 Releases (November/December)
The Co-op Web Builder team has been working on additional features for the platform, which will be rolling out to all websites very soon. We wanted to take a few moments today to talk about what is changing, and which new services will be available to you shortly.
We are adding AI functionality to all Co-op Web Builder websites. This new service will automatically adjust your code on your website for you, in order to meet compliance 24/7/365. It will also include a slide-out drawer of tools, for your members to use to better experience your website for any assistive needs. No longer will you have to wonder if your website is compliant, because every single Co-op Web Builder site will have these new services running and blanketing their content (even after you make changes).
All Co-op Web Builder 3 sites will automagically meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance by the end of 2022.

Here is a preview of what the new Accessibility UI will look like. The slide-out drawer will have assistive profiles, as well as the expected set of tools to modify assistive technologies on your website. This also includes an accessibility statement for your cooperative, baked into the dashboard itself.
Would you like a certificate proving your website meets compliance? Just ask us any time, and we can generate and send you an official statement with your domain and cooperative name.
Curious what this will look like on your website? Try it out right now, by accessing the assistive icon on the right side of our website.
You will also find an Accessibility Statement link within the slide-out drawer. This feature will automatically be added to your site, as part of the quality of life updates.
Ultimately, we will supply the statement for you, which will cover the accessibility improvements in-detail. We find most websites are missing this piece, so we thought it would be nice to package this together, so you have one less thing to do later.
Accessibility Toolkit - Customization Options
We recorded a 4 minute video, which will take you through all the options included in the accessibility toolkit. Feel free to give it a watch if you would like to learn more about customizing the color, position, or even mobile behavior of the accessibility toolkit itself.
